About SafeCamp

A calmer way to think through digital parenting

Parenting has always involved difficult decisions. Phones, games, messaging and social media have added a whole new set of questions.

Sometimes it is a message that feels unusual. A conversation in a game. A disagreement about screen time. A child behaving differently after something happened online.

You may simply find yourself wondering, “Should I be concerned about this?”

SafeCamp gives parents a private place to think through those moments, understand what may matter and decide what to do next.

It is here to support your judgement, not replace it.

The people behind SafeCamp

SafeCamp was founded by Amarachi and Anthony Anyaehie.

We are parents too, and SafeCamp grew from a problem we recognised in our own lives: children are growing up with digital experiences that many of us didn’t have when we were young.

We wanted somewhere a parent could bring a situation, think it through calmly and get practical guidance without immediately assuming the worst.

Our different backgrounds have shaped how we have approached that idea.

Amarachi Anyaehie

Amarachi’s background spans medicine, public health, healthcare, community wellbeing and family mentoring.

Her experience working with people and families shapes SafeCamp’s focus on wellbeing, thoughtful decision making and practical support for parents.

Anthony Anyaehie

Anthony works closely on the design and development of SafeCamp, helping turn the ideas behind it into something families can actually use.

We bring different experiences to SafeCamp, but we started in the same place.

As parents.

What SafeCamp does

SafeCamp is a digital parenting companion.

You describe a situation in your own words. SafeCamp helps you make sense of what happened, highlights things worth considering and gives you practical guidance for what you might do next.

If you choose to save your reflections, SafeCamp can also help you look back over time and notice when similar themes are coming up again.

SafeCamp has been shaped with input from safeguarding practitioners, alongside our own experience and what we continue to learn from families.

The aim isn’t to tell parents how to parent.

It is to help you think more clearly when you’re unsure.

What SafeCamp doesn’t do

SafeCamp doesn’t monitor your child.

It doesn’t read their messages, follow their online activity or watch what they do on their devices.

SafeCamp only works with the information you choose to share.

It isn’t an emergency service, a diagnostic tool or a replacement for safeguarding, healthcare or other professional support.

If a situation may need additional help, SafeCamp can help you recognise that and point you towards appropriate support.

How we use technology

SafeCamp uses AI to help make sense of the situations parents choose to share and provide relevant guidance.

But AI isn’t the parent.

You know your child, your family and the wider situation in ways technology cannot.

That is why SafeCamp is designed around reflection rather than surveillance. You decide what to share. SafeCamp helps you think through it.

We explain more about how information is handled in our Privacy Policy.

Where SafeCamp is today

SafeCamp is still at an early stage, and we’re building it carefully here in the UK.

We are learning alongside our Founding Families, listening to what parents find useful, what feels unclear and what could be better.

We don’t expect to have every answer.

What we can do is keep listening, learning and improving SafeCamp around the realities of family life.

We’d like to hear from you

There are real people behind SafeCamp.
